YouTube is infusing its 15-month-old movie rental service with more than 600 MGM titles including Rain Man, Robocop, West Side Story, The Terminator and Rocky.
“MGM is delighted to share our library of classic titles with YouTube and Google Play users,” John Bryan, MGM’s president of Domestic Television Distribution, told Mashable. “We are always looking for opportunities to bring our world-class library to new audiences in innovative ways, which is exactly what this partnership with Google delivers.”
The MGM titles are available online and via Google TV for viewers in the U.S. and Canada. Rentals cost between $2.99 and $3.99 for standard-definition flicks or $4.99 for HD versions.SEE ALSO: YouTube in 2011 — How Its Busy Year Affects You
